Everything You Need to Know About Spring Retreat

Camper Drop  Off & Pick Up:

​

Camper Drop Off

  • Check-in begins at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 4, 2025 at Camp Ta-Ku-La in Chester, Texas. 

Camper Pick up

  • Campers must be picked up from campgrounds by 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 6, 2025.

  • Sunday Morning Services will be held at camp at 10 am. Parents are welcome to attend services before picking up camper(s).

Information:

  • Spring Retreat is for all kids age 5th grade through 12th grade.

​

  • Camp cost is $75. Payment is due by April 2, 2025. Venmo @go-spring-retreat-23

​

  • Liability and Medical Release Form and Nurse’s Notes MUST be filled out by all camp participants and brought with the camper to check-in.

​

  • Cancellations:  Deposits and Full Payments will be returned by April 3, 2024 if a cancellation is necessary. Please send an email to gospringretreat@gmail.com if you need to cancel your camper’s registration. 

 

Additional Information:​

  •  Please go to the Registration Booth to sign-in and be assigned to your cabin.

​

  • If your child needs to leave camp early for previous engagements, please let us know before camp begins. Email us at gospringretreat@gmail.com.

​

  • Parents:  we will not let your children leave camp without contacting you first.

 

What to Bring to Camp? 

  • Bible

  • Twin Size Bedding. (Fitted sheet, sheet, sleeping bag, blanket, etc.)

  • Pillows 

  • Bath Linens

  • Toiletries

  • Modest clothing

    • Please no tank tops or crop tops. Shorts need to be fingers length or longer for both male and female campers. 

  • Running/ Athletic shoes

  • Clothing for Sunday Morning Worship Service.

  • THEME NIGHT: Neon clothes/Glow-in-the-Dark accessories. Kindly embrace modest attire for our theme night – avoid short shorts and midriff shirts. Opt for comfortable yet appropriate clothing for games and running. Thank you! 

 

What NOT to bring to Camp!

  • Immodest clothing: tank tops, short shorts, etc.

​

  • Food and Drinks:  We cover all meals for the campers, and open canteen will be available to each camper for snacks/ drinks free of charge.

​

  • Cell Phone: We ask that campers not bring cell phones. If they must bring a cell phone, then the phone must remain in their car or their luggage and unused during Camp. We know every camper who is coming to Camp,  and will notify the parents of any camper who does not arrive at Camp on Friday. Therefore, no news is good news. Calling home is reserved for emergencies only.

​

  • No use of tobacco, any smoked substance, alcohol, or non-prescribed drugs, possession of weapons or abuse of camp facilities is permitted.
